Elegant Damask Thank You Card

Hello everyone!  I hope you’re having a happy Monday so far.  I’ve got a nice little thank you card to share with you today before I buckle down and get some serious work done!  Check it out:

This card includes waaaaaay more fussy cutting than I care to admit.  There’s also plenty of delicately placed Glossy Accents, and of course embossing for texture.  Here’s a look at the inside:

Nice and simple with plenty of room to write a note.

There you have it!  I hope you enjoyed today’s post.  Have a lovely day! 🙂

Watercolor Thank You Card and Craft Hoarders Anonymous Challenge #4 Sneak Peek

Hey everybody!  Lots of stuff is happening in life right now, so I’m afraid I’ve gotten off schedule.  Hope you don’t mind 🙂  The good news is, most of the stuff that’s happening is really good stuff!  Hooray!

I have a couple things to share with you today.  First, a sweet and simple Thank You card just in time for Spring…in just a couple days the temps are supposed to be back in the 50’s here!  Hooray!  Away with the cold!  Away with the freezing precipitation!  In with Spring and flowers and sunshine!!!

Sorry, got a little carried away 🙂  Here’s the card:

I started with a 4 x 5.5″ piece of white cardstock then stamped the floral image with VersaMark and embossed it with white powder.  Then, I used my blending tool to add just a little Bundled Sage, Mowed Lawn, and Tattered Rose Distress Inks to one side of the cardstock.  Next, I got a wide paintbrush saturated with water and started “painting”- I pulled the ink across the cardstock with the wet paintbrush to create a softened watercolor look.  I dried that with my heat gun then used one of my Spellbinders dies to punch out a window.  Finally, I stamped and embossed the sentiment directly onto the card base, added a couple rhinestones, and popped the cardstock up on foam squares.

The inside is simple, I just repeated part of the stamp and the watercolor technique in one corner:

Done!  It was super quick and easy, and would make a really lovely set (if I ever get around to it…)

And now, what I know you’ve all been waiting for!  Yesterday was the 3rd Monday of March, which means it was time for the 4th Challenge over at the Craft Hoarders Anonymous Challenge Blog!  I’m one of the guest designers this month, so my project will be posted next week.  In the meantime, here are the Challenge #4 guidelines and my sneak peek!

Challenge #4 Show Some Sparkle, Glitz, or Glam!
Graphic 45 is our sponsor this month. They are known for their fabulous vintage products and papers. To pay homage to their glamour and style, create a project that shows off your hoarded sparkly items. Show some glitz! Pump up the glam! Use the photo collection below for extra inspiration. You need not match the colors or style of the photos, just use them as inspiration. Notice the glass, gems, pearls, metal, glitter! What do you hoard that is “sparkly”?

Are you inspired?  I saw that box in the lower left corner and immediately started getting ideas.  For more inspiration, check out all the projects made by the CHACB Design Team!  Here’s a little peek at my project:

Honoring Ombre – Tuesday Trigger

Happy Wednesday, everyone!  Normally I’d have a Wedding Wednesday design for you, but I’ve been working hard on filling orders and haven’t gotten a chance to make any of the designs I’m planning in my head.  So today, I have a card that I made quickly for the Moxie Fab World Tuesday Trigger Challenge.  This week’s challenge is “Honoring Ombre,” and the trigger can be seen below:

Doesn’t it look delicious?  Here’s the card I came up with:

Clean and simple, quick and easy.  I was going to go with a monochromatic card, but I decided I wanted just a little more color, so I added the yellow thread and rhinestones.

That’s it for today, folks!  Hope you enjoyed today’s post, and don’t forget to enter your own creation in the Tuesday Trigger Challenge!

Dry Embossed Thank You

Happy Monday everybody!  Did you have a nice weekend?  Are you looking forward to the week ahead?  Good!  To get the week started, I’ve got another thank you card.  The design is pretty simple, so I dressed it up a little with some dry embossing.  I love embossing of all kinds!

I hit the embossing with a little brown pigment ink to make it pop some and give it a little more character.  One of my favorite parts of this card is the dark green paper- it’s slightly sparkly 🙂

Here’s a closer view for you:
