Holding You in My Prayers Sympathy Cards

Hello, again!  Sympathy cards are always the hardest kind for me to make – you want it to be personal and beautiful, but not over the top in any way, a balance that I find difficult to achieve.  I recently had a request for 2 sympathy cards, and in today’s post I’ll show you what I came up with.  Take a look:

The first was made with papers from one of my favorite 12×12 pads, a die cut label, and borders from Silhouette.  Here’s the inside:

Coordinating papers and design, and blank space for a note.

Here’s the second card:

I used the same computer-journaled sentiment with softly colored patterned papers and touches of gold for this card.  And the inside:

A must-have for sympathy cards is space for a personal note.  Even if it’s short, a personal note is the best.

That’s it for me today!  Thanks for stopping by, have a lovely day!

And We’re Back!

Hey everybody, long time no see!  This past week and a half has been very full, and I’ve barely had time for fun crafting.  I spent a couple days finishing up an order, a couple days preparing for tutoring lessons in geometry (never thought I’d see geometry again after high school!), and then several days in Maryland with one of my best friends!  Busy busy busy!  It was so nice to sit down at my craft table this morning to work on a project that I’ve been dreaming about for the last several days.

You’ll get to see that project later.

Today, I have a card that was difficult for me to make.  It’s a sympathy/support card requested for a very specific, very heartbreaking situation, and I have to admit I shed tears while putting this card together.  Here it is:

That’s all I’ve got for you today, but there’s more coming soon! Have a beautiful day and thanks for stopping by!
