Honoring Ombre – Tuesday Trigger

Happy Wednesday, everyone!  Normally I’d have a Wedding Wednesday design for you, but I’ve been working hard on filling orders and haven’t gotten a chance to make any of the designs I’m planning in my head.  So today, I have a card that I made quickly for the Moxie Fab World Tuesday Trigger Challenge.  This week’s challenge is “Honoring Ombre,” and the trigger can be seen below:

Doesn’t it look delicious?  Here’s the card I came up with:

Clean and simple, quick and easy.  I was going to go with a monochromatic card, but I decided I wanted just a little more color, so I added the yellow thread and rhinestones.

That’s it for today, folks!  Hope you enjoyed today’s post, and don’t forget to enter your own creation in the Tuesday Trigger Challenge!

Tuesday Trigger: A Painterly Palette

Hi everyone!  By now I guess you’re not surprised when I drop off the face of the internet for a while.  We moved again, back to the mountains from the beach, and I’m finally settled enough to share some cards with you!

Today’s card is for the Moxie Fab World’s Tuesday Trigger: A Painterly Palette challenge.  Take a look at the inspiration:

I love love love the soft colors, don’t you?

And here’s the card I came up with:

What do you think?  I used my Martha Stewart Punch All Over the Page Diamond Rings punch on white cardstock to make the overlay, then punched out different colored circles and glued them to the card base.  I popped the overlay up on dimensionals, stamped and embossed my sentiment, added the smallest touch of bling, and adhered the sentiment banner using foam squares.  It’s clean, delicate, and lovely  🙂

I hope you enjoyed today’s card!  Don’t be surprised if you see another card based on this week’s Tuesday Trigger…it’s got my mojo going!  Don’t forget to enter your own creations at Moxie Fab World by Sunday, July 29th!

Thanks for stopping by, have a great day!

Moxie Fab World Birthday Sketch Challenge

Hey everybody!  Today’s post stems from some procrastinating on my part and a fun challenge in the Moxie Fab World!  It’s a week of birthday challenges, and I created this card for the Birthday Sketch Challenge.  It started as a typical sketch challenge…but then the twist!  The card had to be made using either ONLY STAMPS or NO STAMPING AT ALL.  Wow.  Talk about a challenge.  I love incorporating stamping in my cards, usually as a focal point or sentiment, sometimes both, but there’s almost always paper piecing, ribbons, embellishments, and other fun stuff involved.  And then a card with absolutely no stamping?  Highly unusual.  Anyway, I went digging through my stash of stickers, chipboard letters, random die cuts, buttons…you get the idea.  And here’s what I came up with – a card with NO STAMPING!

Unfortunately, I don’t really know where most of this fun stuff came from, I’ve had it in my stash so long.  Imagine my joy when I finally got to use it!

I hope you enjoyed this post!  Don’t forget to head over to the Moxie Fab World to enter your own responses to the birthday challenges (a new one each day this week!).  Thanks for stopping by!

Tuesday Trigger: Wake-up Call

Happy Saturday, everybody!  I know, I know, here I go posting on a Saturday again!  But I have a really good reason this time.  I made a card for this week’s Tuesday Trigger at Moxie Fab World and I had to post it today because the linky closes tomorrow.  See, good reason 🙂  So, to get things started, here’s this week’s trigger:

And here’s my card:

Thanks a Latte 1

I saw that adorable polka-dotted mug and knew it had to be on my card somewhere!  I tried my hand for the first time at the chalkboard technique that’s all the rage right now and I think it turned out alright, don’t you?  I also finally used a doily on a card, which is another thing I’ve been meaning to try for a while, and used lots of flowers!  I love the look of lots and lots of flowers clustered in a corner.  Here’s a close-up in which you can see the chalkboard technique a little bit better…all I can say is it looks even cooler in real life 🙂

Thanks a Latte 2

That’s it! Thanks for stopping by, keep having a great weekend!

Tuesday Trigger: Cross My Heart

Hey everyone!  Just a quick heads-up/reminder, now through Valentine’s Day you can get free shipping when you order anything from my Etsy shop.  You can find the coupon code at the top of my shop screen, through my facebook page, or message me and I’ll be happy to give it to you 🙂

Anyway, even though it’s Thursday, it’s time for this week’s Tuesday Trigger from Moxie Fab World! I love this week’s trigger:

The simplicity, the colors, and the x pattern of the heart in this picture is what inspired me.  I sat down at my craft table and in no time had this card:

I stamped the background using x’s and o’s from two different stamp sets, then stamped and embossed the sentiment and heart.  I popped them up on foam squares and added the buttons to reflect the two flowers in the trigger.  It was nice to keep things pretty simple.  It’s just a bright, happy card, and I’m pleased with it.

Don’t forget to enter your own creation for the Tuesday Trigger by Sunday, February 10th!

Thanks for visiting my blog!  I hope you enjoyed it!
