Another Valentine

Happy Friday, everybody!  This week is ending well, in my opinion.  It snowed last night, I got a couple job applications out, and I’ve gotten lots of crafting done this week.  Successful week!

As promised, I’ve done more Valentine’s Day-geared creating, but this time it’s not a card!  This time it’s a little tag and pouch combo my wonderfully talented mother-in-law taught me to make.  It’s perfect for writing a little note, giving a little chocolate, or giving a gift card.  I made one for each of my bridesmaids and used it to write them a personal note and display the jewelry I had made for each of them.  The possibilities are really endless for this particular craft.

Here’s the final product:

Write a little note on the front or back (left blank for the purpose) of the tag, tuck it and a little treat (chocolate, gift card, or jewelry, as mentioned earlier) into its matching pouch and you’ve got a unique and special Valentine!  This little guy can be found in my Etsy shop, and you can always contact me if you’d like me to make something you have in mind.

Oh, and by the way, the pouch measures 5.25″ x 4″  🙂

Have a wonderful, safe, fun-filled weekend!

Getting My Valentine On

Hey guys!  I was going through my paper stash the other day and came across all my lovely Valentine-y papers when I realized that Valentine’s Day is less than a month away!  I’d better get cracking if I want to sell valentines in my Etsy shop.  I should also start thinking about the card I’ll make for Joel…it’s always a tough one.

Anyway, here’s the first Valentine’s Day card I’ve come up with:

The hearts and sentiment are, of course, heat embossed, and the sentiment is popped up on foam squares to give the card dimension.  I’m a little tickled with myself over the corner treatment; it’s not something I usually do, but isn’t it cute?!  Here’s the inside of the card:

Enough decoration to make it match the outside and leave space for writing a personal note.  What I really love about this card is that it can be given to a special someone or a best friend.  Make it as sappy (or not) as you like 🙂

I’ve posted this card in my Etsy shop if you or someone you know might like to have it.  Now, I’m off to hem some jeans and make more cards!
