Merry Christmas Joy Fold Card for Mojo Monday and Craft Hoarders Anonymous
Hello again and happy Wednesday! I’ve been listening to Christmas music non-stop this week to get my mind into the “holiday crafting” mode – do you do that? I find it really helpful. Anyway, today’s card is doing double duty; I used this week’s Mojo Monday sketch and am playing along with Challenge #21 at Craft Hoarders Anonymous! Here’s the sketch and challenge description:
Challenge #21 Celebrate the Season
Raise your hands if you hoard Christmas or other winter holiday items! Who has a drawer full of “retired” holiday papers and embellishments? Who goes crazy over the candy cane ribbons or the sparkly embellishments? Share a winter or seasonal holiday project with us. We would love to see your Christmas projects, but you may also enter Hanukkah,Kwanza, New Year’s, other holiday celebration projects, or any winter-themed projects. Celebrate the season with us!
It felt great to pull out all of my Christmas supplies and dig through to find things I’ve had for years. Here’s the card I came up with:
The paper on this card came from the very first stack of Christmas paper I ever bought…6 or 7 years ago. It’s so scrumptious and I’m always hesitant to cut into it! The burlap comes from a newer (but still year-old) stack that I use sparingly even though it’s practically full. I have a problem and need help 😛 The dimensional poinsettia sticker has been in my stash for years as well, and I now have just 2 like it left! I keep having to remind myself that if I use up my stash I can buy MORE!!! hehe.
This is a Joy Fold card, which makes it kind of neat.
And now the inside:
The Merry Christmas stamp comes from one of my first sets, and the holly leaves usually sit untouched for no good reason at all. I like the way they look together!
Thanks for stopping by! Have a lovely day!
