Life is a Bowl of Cherries Card with Crafty Secrets Retro Kitchen Kit

Hello everybody!  I have a sweet little card to share with you today before I settle in for some serious Christmas Crafting.  Today’s card is made with papers and images from the new Crafty Secrets Retro Kitchen Digital Kit.  Take a look:

bowl of cherries 1

I just love that little mouse in his little green jacket!  To start this card, I sized the blue cherry digital paper in Microsoft Word, then layered one of the digital doilies over it.  Onto the doily, I layered the bowl of cherries, then printed it out.  Then, I typed the sentiment into the little tag and printed the bowl of cherries again; I cut out the tag and tucked it into the cherries on my background paper, popping up one corner for some dimension.  I also fussy cut the bowl and mouse and layered them over my ribbon.  Here’s another picture so you can see the layers a little better:

The inside I kept really simple with a repeat of the cherry paper and doily overlay, and added a little sprig of cherries from the kit:

Thanks for stopping by!  Have a lovely day 🙂

Super cute card Melody! I can’t get over how cool the doily looks and you just layered it digitally. All of the doilies in the kits were just created from old black/white drawings from catalogs and they came out so 3D. I really like how you popped up parts and it looks like you painted the cherries with something as they really pop in the second photo.

Thanks for sharing, I’m going to pin this card and I need to go back and find your advent calendar and pin it as well.
