A Card for Hope and Encouragement
Hello everyone, and Happy Monday! I hope you all enjoyed your weekend. We had gorgeous 60 degree weather here, and I spent a lot of it hiking and eating with family 🙂 So wonderful 🙂 Before I start, I want to remind you to comment on and share last week’s post for your chance to win a prize pack including handmade cards, flowers, a covered notepad, and some ribbon! I’ll be choosing a winner this Friday, February 28th, so be sure to enter and check back then!
Anyway, I have a new card to share with you today! Take a look:
Last summer, I took a day and went through all of my paper scraps. I matched them all up and grouped them together with paperclips so I could have little card-starter kits for those times when my mojo just isn’t flowing or I need a card quickly. This card came from one of those kits! I punched the top 2 corners of the navy paper and layered it over light blue vellum to start. Then, I punched the leafy border from a scrap of white paper and fussy-cut the leafy image from a piece of scrapbook paper. I stamped and embossed the sentiment onto another piece of the blue vellum, layered it over a piece of white, added rhinestones to the flower border, and popped it onto foam squares. Then, I just added some matching ribbon and twine and a few handmade flowers, et voila!
I left the inside very simple, with plenty of space for an encouraging note:
That’s it for me! I hope you enjoyed today’s card. Don’t forget to enter the contest! Have a lovely day!
