Wedding Wednesday – Congratulations Card and Box Set
Helloooooooo! Happy Wednesday! It’s Wedding Wednesday here at Paper Melody’s, the place where brides on a budget can find beautiful and affordable wedding stationery. Today I have something a little different for you, but don’t worry, it’s still wedding-themed! I made this card and box set for my brother-in-law and his new bride, who got married 2 weeks ago. Take a look:
I had a great time using my Tattered Florals die to make all those lovely flowers, as well as the new Raindrops on Roses die from Heartfelt Creations for that lovely lacy background. I used colors to match their Save the Dates and wedding invitations, and threw in some bling for the fun of it 🙂
The focal point on the front of the card is a laser-cut sticker I’ve had in my stash for a good while now. Aren’t they just the cutest couple? I tried to mimic the little arbor they’re standing under throughout the design of the card.
Repeated papers and shapes on the inside keep the design cohesive. The sentiment is a stamp I’ve only used once before, and I’ve been dying to use it again. You’d think with all the wedding things I create I wouldn’t be hurting for chances to use it 😛
I made the box because the card was just a little too dimensional for an envelope, plus it makes a lovely keepsake for the happy couple. I made the base out of a medium-weight cardboard and the top from a piece of cardstock in the same pattern as the card. I designed the “Mr. & Mrs.” on the computer, printed it, die cut it, and popped it onto foam squares.
And that’s it! Thanks so much for stopping by this Wedding Wednesday. Did you like this post?
