Red, White, and Black Birthday Card
Hello, everyone, and Happy Friday! My day began to the dulcet tones of the fire alarm going off…it can only go up from there, right? I hope your day is off to a better start 🙂 Before we head into the weekend, I wanted to share with you a very special birthday card I made for a very special person – my sister! She’s been my constant friend for my whole life and I always love making cards for her.
I started with the awesome dimensional “Z” sticker and the color red (her favorite!), then went from there. It came together pretty easily once I picked my papers and patterns. I embossed the red with a damask-pattern embossing folder, used a decorative punch on the black and white patterned paper, picked some lace, ribbon, and twine, layered everything together, and there it was! Simple and beautiful, just like my sister 🙂
I wrote on the inside before remembering to take a picture…whoops…so you don’t get to see that. I repeated the decorative edge punch and stamped a fancy “Happy Birthday,” leaving plenty of room for a note. Because that’s really what it’s about 🙂
Thanks for stopping by! Have a lovely weekend and I’ll see you again next week!
Great card, Melody! Zoey will love it.
I do love it! I forgot to tell you that it arrived a couple days ago and I showed it off to Dad 😀 (He was the only one home.) Thanks, Dee!
Simply gorgeous! I love the way the two of you love one another!
