Let the Good Times Roll

Happy Tuesday, everybody!  Today’s card is brought to you by the letter “F” for Friendship.  I made this card for a friend whom I have known for many many years.  We met in elementary school, rode horses together, were in girl scouts together…for years we were practically inseparable. Well, you know how life goes, recently we haven’t gotten to see much of each other so I thought I’d send her a card.  Here’s what I came up with:

Good Times 1

I started with the “Good Times” chipboard sentiment (I thought it was appropriate because we have had so many good times together 🙂 ) and based the rest of the card off that.  The geometric pattern really caught my eye, so I created a background to match!  It was a little painstaking, but I’m very pleased with the way it turned out.  I found these large brackets in my stash and glued them together to make a sort of border, then made a few flowers that match the rest of the card.  Finally, I stamped and fussy cut the flourish and put it all together.  I say it like it was easy as pie, but truth be told I spent a good while rearranging the flowers (all three of them, sheesh) until they were in what my perfectionist self deemed the “perfect” position.  I left the inside completely blank so I had plenty of space to write my note 🙂  I hope it got to her safe and sound!

Thanks for stopping by!  I just love reading all your comments…makes me smile 🙂  Have a great day!

Haha, Reading lingo like “fussy cut” makes ME smile! Love the card, too. I am impressed that you made the geometric trellis background from scratch. Now THAT was fussy! : ) From one perfectionist to another…
