Tuesday Trigger: Wake-up Call

Happy Saturday, everybody!  I know, I know, here I go posting on a Saturday again!  But I have a really good reason this time.  I made a card for this week’s Tuesday Trigger at Moxie Fab World and I had to post it today because the linky closes tomorrow.  See, good reason 🙂  So, to get things started, here’s this week’s trigger:

And here’s my card:

Thanks a Latte 1

I saw that adorable polka-dotted mug and knew it had to be on my card somewhere!  I tried my hand for the first time at the chalkboard technique that’s all the rage right now and I think it turned out alright, don’t you?  I also finally used a doily on a card, which is another thing I’ve been meaning to try for a while, and used lots of flowers!  I love the look of lots and lots of flowers clustered in a corner.  Here’s a close-up in which you can see the chalkboard technique a little bit better…all I can say is it looks even cooler in real life 🙂

Thanks a Latte 2

That’s it! Thanks for stopping by, keep having a great weekend!

Wow! Look what I missed while I was out of town! Fabulous, simply fabulous! And I can’t help but remember the first card you created years ago that included a “chalkboard” – for your professor at Bethany whose elbow was broken: Humerus, but not humorous. And so the cleverness began… 🙂
