Happy Friday, everybody! Do you have any fun and exciting plans for this weekend? Thoughts of adventure, perhaps? Well, then you’ll appreciate this card!
If that doesn’t get you in the adventuring mood, I don’t know what will! I had pirates on the brain when making this card, can you tell? I started with a torn, crumpled piece of paper with a map on it, distressed the edges and hand wrote the sentiment. I then layered it over some text paper and parchment paper (which already looks old because it’s parchment paper) and edged it all with Vintage Photo distress ink. I ran hemp cord through eyelets I put in the dry embossed paper I found in my stash, grabbed a scrap piece of linen, and went to town with more Vintage Photo. I tied the linen, applied everything to the card, added some Glossy Accents to the little compass, and voila! It’s a swashbuckler 😛 Then I decided I couldn’t wait until daylight to take pictures, so this is what I ended up with The inside of the card is decorated with a little more of the text paper and some torn map paper in the corners.
This card would be great for a masculine birthday or graduation card, don’t you think?
Thanks for stopping by, have a great weekend!
