Valentine’s Treats and Another Mini Notecard

Hello again, everyone!  I hope you’ve had a nice week.  My creative mojo wasn’t flowing so well last week (it happens sometimes!), but I’m back and ready to share 🙂  First off, did everyone have a nice Valentine’s Day?  It was a good one in our house, for sure.  Joel surprised me with breakfast in bed, and then came home that evening with a gorgeous bouquet of daisies and lilies!  I cooked him a delicious steak dinner with asparagus and homemade bread.  For dessert was a chocolate-covered caramel pretzel cheesecake I made using this recipe from!  One of the tastiest cheesecakes in the world.  If I make it again, however, I will make some changes to the recipe.  It’s really difficult to cut because of the layer of chocolate on the bottom, and I get super frustrated every time I try.  No one should be frustrated by cheesecake.  Totally the opposite of what cheesecake is supposed to do, right?

Here are a couple pictures for your enjoyment:

It’s a bit torn up because it’s difficult to cut; see the thick layer of chocolate near the bottom? Next time I’ll make it much thinner!

Aren’t they beautiful?

Ok, back to crafts.  This is one of the few cards I completed in the past week.  The sentiment comes from the same “Not Too Serious” paper I’ve used before, surprise, surprise.  I spent a while staring at all the elements of the card before I decided to keep it simple.  Some corner punching, a wide satin ribbon, and some bling is all this card needed.  I know exactly who gets this one, too!

Alright, I’m off to make more cards!  Keeping this week upbeat 🙂
