Winner! and Tuesday Trigger: Happy Birthday

Yes, it’s Thursday, not Tuesday.  So it takes me a day or two to complete Mojo Monday and Tuesday Trigger challenges…can ya blame me?  🙂  This week’s Tuesday Trigger in Moxie Fab World is a birthday challenge.  Here’s the super adorable trigger:

I love love love birds.  And flowers.  But especially birds.  So I saw this and got really excited!  Here’s what I came up with:

A few things about this card.  1) I got to use my Cuttlebug as a die cutting machine for the first time!!!  I finally got a couple sets of dies and I used one of them here to mount the sentiment.  2) The colors aren’t quite true in this picture, particularly the leafy banner along the top.  In real life it’s much more teal, less blue.  3) I love my little birdie stamps.  They’re each about a half inch in size, and of course I fussy cut them 🙂

The card measures 4″x5.5″ and on the inside I put another teal leafy banner along the bottom, placed a few color coordinated flowers in the lower left corner, and die cut the same shape but larger out of the same tan color and glued it in for a special place to write a note.  I’m quite pleased!

And now, the moment you’ve all been waiting for!  The winner of the tag from Monday’s post…drum roll please…

Amy!

She said, “It’s about time I commented anyway! I love your blog, Melody. You have an eye for beauty. The teal/brown color combination is classy. :)”  Thanks so much, Amy!  I’ll have your tag in the mail in the next day or two 🙂  I hope you enjoy it!

Thanks to everybody who commented, and to everyone who visits my little blog!  It means so much to me to know people are enjoying what I create 🙂

Your skills must be developing QUICKLY when it comes to crafting cards! That’s one of the prettiest cards I’ve seen on here. Love it! It’s a great representation of the trigger.
